My experience at Awatukee Post acute was great from the Start. Nikki actually came to see me in the hospital before I came here. Even with in home health care, I wasn’t healing and had very little help. Had a few falls and a concussion after my spinal surgery, kept returning to the hospital. I had lost hope in everything. Felt like I didn’t have a chance of healing or ever getting better. Nikki gave me hope. When I first arrived I was pretty anxious having had a terrible experience at a prior post acute (south mountain). JR welcomed me when I walked through the doors and I felt calmer almost instantly. JR was extremely helpful and kind and put a smile on my face. Mysti in my opinion is the most valuable employee that exists in this building. She helped me do my intake, fixed my med orders when I first arrived. She goes above and beyond for anything I need and everyone I’ve seen her interact with. She stays late to make sure things are taken care of. Doesn’t get a chance to eat lunch, because shes advocating so much for everyone here. She deserves a raise for how hard she works. I’m surprised she’s not running this place! She is the most knowledgeable and compassionate person and assistant director of nursing I’ve ever met. She’s a diamond in the rough! The moment I met her I knew I was in great hands. She even acts as a patient advocate and will consult with other members of your care team. She made sure my meals were correct and didnt have anything I’m allergic to in them. She made sure to connect me to other people like Jose who is the director of social services and also a solution driven person with so much compassion for the residents here. He has a heart of gold and treats you like a person not a number. Greer who helps with Altechs is amazing and knows her stuff! Heather pain management (who also deserves a raise) helped me so much, making sure my pain is managed and under control. The rest of these staff members are people who have gone above and beyond and I could write a paragraph about each one of them and how amazing they are! However, I will save you some time so you can stop reading this and come join the most amazing post acute I’ve ever been to. Here they are: Q.Bell Director of Operations, Jason B. Assistant Maintenence Director, Chris Medina Director of Maintenence/EVS, Alba in medical records, Jason D. is the best Nurse I’ve ever had period. He goes above and beyond for every patient I’ve ever seen him interact with. Jayla LVN ( Extremely kind. sweet and meds always on the dot 💗) She’s on top of her med passes and never misses a beat. Jessica cna, Dennis the custodian who always makes sure the rooms are sparkling ✨️ clean. Kang Li my speech therapist/pathologist .Frank the LVN is amazing! The Activities director and assistant director Addy and Mona also V. They have fun activities that everyone can play whether your in a chair or using a walker, can’t turn your head etc. They have bingo like most places but 3 different kinds. They have nail days and grooming days, which boosts everyone’s self esteem. Painting and perfume making and flower days and bowling and like 20 more activities that are all unique and fun! They are also very kind. So is Ms.Rachel! 💖 If your looking for a post acute for yourself or your loved one, look no further. Awatukee Post Acute is where the healing begins and life gets better! Thank you so much APA!!! 💓

The facility has taken good care of my uncle who lives in the area. He was extremely happy with the care that he did not even like to go back home haha. Thank you for everything!

My sister came to this facility for all sorts of medical problems. The nursing team was great and she is now at home with family. We feel blessed that their team is on top of their game.

I had a really great experience with Ahwatukee Post Acute. From the very beginning, the admissions team was incredibly easy to work with and made the entire process feel smooth and stress free. The facility itself was welcoming and had such a positive atmosphere. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and genuinely kind, which made a big difference. You can truly tell they care about the people they serve, and I would absolutely recommend Ahwatukee Post Acute to anyone looking for compassionate, quality care.

Everything I’m being released from our Tukey postacute rehab. It’s been very good. There’s a social worker here. Her name is Ashley. She’s really good to me and she was able to get me discharge properly and on schedule. She was very very good to me. Thank you.

I live my CNA Lubby. She made me laugh on my first day there. She would say Whats up Ms. B?!. The nurses and PT/OT are awesome. Especially Mrs. Star! What I don’t appreciate is that they refused to let me go home. They came up with every excuse in the book. Their food is…y’all can you say salty!!

If No Star was possible, that would be my rating. They were criminally negligent of my relative while he was in respiratory distress, and, after he was released to a new facility, I, who have Medical Power of Attorney, was made to wait over an hour for his personal property which, as at other places, should have taken no longer than 15 minutes. The front entrance smelled strongly of urine, and they don’t pay attention to their residents riding around in electric chairs almost naked….. KEEP YOUR LOVED ONES AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!

My grandma was brought here after surgery for a broken hip. The nursing staff has been rude and uncaring. My 90 yr old grandma was left naked on a plastic mattress with no blankets or covering. She was literally crying in agony from pain and hadn’t been given her pain medication. The next day I returned and she was once again not clothed and on a wet blanket. I literally had to beg the nurse to please bring her her medications. This place needs to be reported and shut down. The level of care is nonexistent.

After having an awful experience with another skilled nursing facility I had my daughter transferred to this facility. From the minute I met with Ms. GG in admissions I knew this facility would be suitable. They exceeded our expectations. The entire staff were kind, empathetic and extremely professional. They treated my daughter with care and respect and I cannot say enough good things about them. The facility is clean, organized and very attentive to their patient’s needs. If you need skilled nursing care for a loved one I would highly recommend Ahwatukee Post Acute. I don’t have one negative thing to say! They made an extremely difficult situation bearable. THANK YOU, EVERYONE!!

I’m a patient at Ahwatukee Post Acute and have been for a while and I’m not thrilled about the place….(1) Food is terrible….1 out of 20 meals might be satisfactory the others not edible…(2) The physical therapy people are wannabe Chuck Norris types without knowledge of patients injuries or problems they think they know what is good for you but can hurt or worsen your ailment (3)

This facility was honestly a rip off. Between the long amounts of time it took for the over worked staff to get to their patients when they really needed something is wrong! More staff is needed so their loads are lighter so they can properly attended to each patient who gives a SHARE to your facility. My mom has ended up pooping her pants a handful of times because when she called it took over 30 minutes each time for someone to attend to her. Same thing applied when it comes to anything else she needs like her pain medication, water, help out of bed, etc.. I do want to give a 5 star rating to Debbie the nurse. She has been an angel in disguise and the company is extremely lucky to have such a passionate and big hearted nurse at their facility.

My dad recently spent 3 weeks at Silverwood after a hip replacement and it was a good fit for him. The nursing staff are nice and attentive, the PT/OT staff are knowledgeable and do a great job coordinating, the food is good and nutritious, and the place is clean! I was a bit nervous when we were told he was going there because at the time Silverwood had a 1 star Medicare review. I have no idea how that happened because everyone was helpful and great at their jobs! My dad was well taken care of and they got him back on his feet, and home!
